Manchester Girl Geeks and Teawitter present: Science Jamboree
Science Jamboree (upstairs)
Enjoy talks, stalls, science busking shows, hands-on activities and much more! Explore everything from kitchen chemistry and mathematical origami to brush bots and cake!
Science-themed Teawitter (downstairs)
The teawitter party is an excuse for Manchester's lovers of things tea (and coffee!), cake and twitter related to get together and swap tales, put names to faces and enjoy the best in home made confection!
It's a social gathering, a way to meet friends old and new, and build on the thriving tea party twitter community!
The format is simple, make something to share, bring it along, we'll keep you in tea, coffee and whatever else you want to drink. Come meet friends old and new and put a friendly face to the online crowd!
If you have any special dietary requirements, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.
Registration for the event is free, but we ask for a £5 donation on the door to cover costs for food & support MadLab!
The Science Jamboree is part of the 2011 Manchester Science Festival!
This event is suitable for the whole family, children are welcome! Please note that children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Accessibility notice: The Teawitter tea party will be held on the ground floor at the MadLab which is fully accessible. The Science Jamboree is on the 2nd floor of the MadLab. Unfortunately, there is NO LIFT, so the 2nd floor is NOT ACCESSIBLE by wheelchair or for prams. We're really sorry about this!
However, there will be science busking and plenty of science themed food on the ground floor, so please do come along.
